Man, i am so not studying although i really should be. Argh, just cant concentrate one bit on the damn French Revo. Bleah, i hate FR. Fortunately i didnt waste my time mugging for it during the hols cos i could guess as much i would never ever choose the FR question. But geez, i still have to do it now. Sigh.

Prelim results were BAD. Absolutely horrendous. Econs was the suckiest. Why?!?! But i studied so damn hard for it!!! And the damn paper was so friggin easy!!! Bleah. Looks like i'll have to live with severe stupidity for the rest of my cursed life.

Anyway, we finally got to view the flash presentation today! Aidil should have just asked Jason to bring his tablet a long time ago (ok fine, im exaggerating). The flash was awesome! Aidil and Addie did a fantastic job! (Although darn BK wants his part to be censored. Geez, cant he just forget it, its not as if its a teachers' day presentation or something!) Ooh and i love the Survivor concept! Maybe they should have borrowed some ideas from The Amazing Race as well! Haha and they seriously added in the Silas Marner picture! Ahahahahaha!!! Hilarious!!! O boy, i must burn one copy of the flash for myself too!

O no, i think my jpop fever is coming back. Im suddenly addicted to jpop & dorama again after catching a few of the latter on tv! This is bad, especially at this time! Im always online for hours lately, trying to see whatever dorama or songs i can download but there is nobody uploading the torrent files i want for the former so i cant download! damn, is this punishment?! Tsk. And when i wanna download jpop mp3s, i cant find any sites to download from...grr. Jan, please please let me know where you download your jpop mp3s from k?! Or i'd never go offline! And recommend me some nice jpop! The Kinki Kids song (Jounetsu) keeps playing over and over on my winamp i cant stop listening to it! I must go dig out the Jounetsu music vid i burnt 2(?) years back! I can still vaguely remember they did the really cool dance! Ooh. Haha i still remember i was crazy over Hideaki Takizawa after watching Majo No Jouken! I still have the posters of him in my cupboard! Hahahaha. Those were the days eh. Hmm, after the As, im definitely going to start my dorama craze!

Dammit! The FR test next Wed is still on! What the $#@^#%&#!!!!! Great, now i have to start studying from tomorrow onwards. GRRRRRR. And we still have to do visual organisers for all the prelim questions by next week or we'll be dead meat if we get picked to present (no thanks to his darn "lucky"-draw system). Bleah. Damn him. Damn history. Damn myself for taking history.

The Broken Bottle Stored Away

No, you didnt click on the wrong button, neither were you accidentally directed to the wrong page. It's my blog alright. As you can see, i've changed the entire layout (yes, im still using white as my background cos its the most convenient and pleasing to the eye). I realise many people have changed their blogskins so i figured, i might as well join in! And what better time to do it than these few days? Ok, obviously im not studying history, and furthermore, its been raining all week so i guess this is the best indoor activity!

Yeah anyway, my previous blog is still around though it's permanently stagnant from now on. I couldnt bear to delete the entire template cos i took hours reformatting the whole thing when i first started. So yep, i started a new one, but i've used back the same url to save you guys from all that trouble of changing it. My old blog is still available on my link though. Well, i kinda like this new design, basically because it's simple. It also has this certain ability to draw my mind into a kind of deep exploration, a form of temporary reprieve and escape that i really need.

Moreover, there's only 1 such blog on the entire web cos i edited the original skin to complement my character and thoughts. So, it's fully personalised and you wont see the exact same design anywhere else. Muahaha.

Prelims are finally over. Dont know if its good or bad but i guess it should be both. By right, i have 4 days to unwind, that is, if i decide to be rebellious and not heed BK's advice to study during this break. O well, if i really am going to be an indolent blinking idiot, i'd be slacking, sleeping and rotting throughout, which would of course, get boring after 1 day. Maybe i should start on FR again come Friday. Yikes, did i just say that? Ok, i guess BK's words are starting to prick my conscience. Sigh. i'll just see when the time comes. See, procrastination again. Bad bad bad...

Meanwhile, i have to think of how to keep myself occupied tomorrow. i wanna do something different or something i havent done in a long while. Facing the screen all day's hurting my eyes. Maybe i should go outdoors. Cycling perhaps? My bike's rusting already...Geez. Ooh wait, i have the sudden urge for pure choc ice blended! Wow, i realised i havent stepped into Coffee Bean for decades! Hmm, im definitely gonna get my hands on one PCIB at least by the end of the week. Yeah ok, i have something to look forward to now, something that might perhaps act as a consolation before going on trial next week.

Sigh, even though history's over, i dont feel any sense of relief. i guess maybe the thought of having to sit for an additional test on FR/FR+RR next Wed doesnt really help make things any better. Bleah, what's with BK lately...too much free time on his hands? The reason why most of us didnt do the FR question was because we had such a hard time studying it...and now, we're all back at square 1 again having to go right back to the basics. Yuck. i wouldnt mind studying RR but FR simply turns me off. @#$%^&*!!!

Man, im seriously not looking forward to this Wed's gothic paper. Lit's a goner already, the gothic paper isnt going to help a single bit. It's inquisition time.

Bleah, why cant i just pass ALL my 3 subjects for once?! O, Im stupid. That's why.

Today is "Be Yourself Day". How tragically ironic. We actually recognise a day to 'celebrate' being (or rather, to remind) our own selves to...Be Ourselves. Sounds ridiculous to many, yet, this is indeed the harsh reality. The cruel truth is, we do need this day, no matter how hard the instinctive practicalities of the mind try to deny it. Of course, whether or not we seriously do celebrate being ourselves is another question altogether; but the fact remains that often a time, we are indeed too carried away by external influences that incidentally diminish our exclusive character, and its effect manifests itself in our underlying fears of losing our real identity. Hence, it is undeniable that having such a day does remind us to settle back down to earth so we can combat our unnecessary fears.

However, it is unfortunate that we should have to confront these superfluous nightmares. Time and advancement have no doubt sucked us all into this unending roller-coaster ride that makes us so giddy, we lose our footing. Whether or not we are conscious about this entire phenomenon still ultimately demonstrates that we are constantly adapting to the changing environment to ensure our survival, and thus, is largely the reason why our basest identity is displaced. Perhaps therefore, the dedication of a day to our real selves would also act as a cue to prompt us to literally do a thorough soul-searching.

It is thus hopeful to know that such a day exists to encourage more people, particularly present-day youths, to search for their genuine identity, especially if they are still dizzy living their superficial existence or chained to rigid and dictated disciplines. Every search is another level of penetration into the deeper self that would uncover surprises and make interesting discoveries that would have never before surfaced. Yet, we will realise that this will be a perpetual exploration of self, for the enthralling quality of our identity is that it is never static.

Commemorate this day and celebrate your distinguished identity.

Yay goodie! Finally watching Down With Love with Addie and Shikah on Monday after Lit makeup!!! Whoopee!!! Ok i know i really shouldnt be rejoicing right now but hey, prelims are already gonna be so screwed, im not exactly bothering about it, or for now at least. My GP essay was such a total failure im only hoping that the compre can pull up whatever pathetic marks im gonna get. O well. Yeah anyway, im absoutely elated! I finally found someone to watch the other shows i want!!! Lucky me. What would i ever become without my dear Jm. Hmm, i guess now both of us hafta decide whether we wanna watch Home Run or Turn Left Turn Right (cos i pomised myself to watch only 1 show with her to ease my conscience - at least for next week).

A Tragic Saga

Life now is staged, rehearsed. We are all characters in a play, acting out roles according to what the playwright dictates - every line of speech, every action or movement written identify us. It is decided that there has to be a pleasant conclusion, so we, being protagonists in each of the playwright's dramas, carry out the playwright's orders, even if it means going against individual instincts, ultimately to seek that absolute happy ending the audience looks forward to. Of course, what would a play be without sorrows or conflicts? Throw in several obstacles to let the character deal with, add a climax to spice things up, and finally resolve with the protagonist defeating all odds to emerge victorious. And there we have it, the hero/heroine of the day, the perfect model for the audience and more importantly, instant success, perhaps even a Nobel prize for the playwright. .

Everything is mapped out according to the writer's wishes, and the character simply plays along for the Master. How much longer does this play-acting have to continue? The character is clueless. He doesnt hold the pen, he only waits for his future to be penned. All he knows he that he has to continue acting to please his Master.

Darn it! I wanna catch a movie! 4 to be exact.

1) Home Run - ok, its not that i like Jack Neo productions but im pretty curious to see how his latest movie is different from the rest...it looks like something more profound and sophisticated this time round instead of the usual loud and rowdy hokkien-speaking uncles which really puts me off...

2) The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen - picture Dorian Gray, Captain Nemo, Jekyll&Hyde etc in a flick together and u wonder what literary heroes you get. Hmm...

3) Down With Love - Yes, its opened to really good reviews with the retro theme and musical segments...So im quite eager to taste this delightful fare!

4) Turn Left Turn Right - its finally opening next week! Takeshi Kaneshiro really makes this a tempting one...*drools*


BUT....prelims are in 10 days!!! And GP's tomorrow?!?! Great. And what have i been doing so far? Collecting dust. Damn...why cant i even catch a single movie?!?! Especially when film is going to be my intended career in the future?! What has History, Lit and Econs gotta do with directing/producing? Its not as if i need the French Revolution or Microeconomics to teach me how to direct or edit a film. Right. I shall not be a puppet of the MOE any longer. Its time to liberate myself from these diabolical forces. Its time to abscond.
