Oei Meely!
The javascript password prompt on your blog is damn annoying la! It's alright if you dont give us the password to your blog, but the fact that i cant close it without it popping up again pisses me off big time! The only way that i could rid it was to close my IE window, which means that it closes all my tabs in that window! Now i have to open all those links again and start from scratch...RARRRRRR!!!
If you could please fix the javascript, it would do the world a great benefit.
Thanks.

WA. HA. HA.
Finally got my broadband up and running again! Thankfully i tested the modem out at Nad's place yesterday which gave me a much clearer indication of what the problem was: the modem. We prolly rebooted it too many times on Wed night till it got too stressed and so just decided to exact its revenge on us by completely refusing operation. Anyhow, went down to Harvey Norman this morning intending to send it in for repair since it was under lifetime warranty, but the best thing happened that truly made my day. By God's grace, the guy actually gave me a new modem in exchange for my faulty one (perhaps sympathising with me after i acted really pitiful and distressed when i explained how i desperately i needed the internet)! So i thanked him like a million times, rushed back home to test it out, and the rest they say, is history.
Anyway, went to meet Kris after that, and we had, what else but...dim sum! We ate and ate..and talked and talked...and drank and drank...and talked and talked somemore about our tvb shows, tvb actors, hongkong, honkies and their hongky tong accent etc etc etc. And of course, we had the highlight of the yumcha session. My 2nd satisfation of the day:
Yes, i had to tabao some home! its the popcorn for my tvb show so im going to savour every little bite as it melts in my mouth while catching up on the past few days' episodes! Mm Mmmmm~~~!
The sinful indulgence didnt end there. There was still...Harbourtown. Yes, that place is soooooo sinful. Its been all browsing browsing, trying trying, buying buying, spending spending. Felt extremely guilty after all that shopping, but then, this brings me to my 3rd satisfaction of the day:
Hooded jacket.
Perfect fit.
10 bucks.
Love it.
Im a very happy girl today.
My sis is coming back from Taiwan tonight. Lets hope she makes me even happier.
Have a happy and blessed Easter everyone! =D

Only when technology fails us do we realise how we are actually so over-dependent on it. Our bloody adsl connection died on us yesterday evening for no rhyme or reason and our lives were turned upside down all of a sudden. For 3 whole hours i tried every single thing i could but nothing worked and at that utterly distressing moment, it seemed as if were were transported back to pre-historic times. (The pc without Internet is but an empty shell, just like a skull without brains!)
The most screwed up thing was the customer support. They put me on hold for practically 20 minutes and told me all about the history of the Internet, how i should try checking the faqs on the iinet website to solve my problem, how i should get Norton Anti-Virus, which i can buy from them, even though the network is still firewalled blah blah blah. Firstly, i do not need a refresher lecture on how the Internet was founded - i already know all of that PLUS the history of the World Wide Web as well so shut up. Secondly, if i had an Internet connection and could go online in the first place, would i even be sitting there risk getting my ear burned and wasting my time and money listening to your crap? Thirdly, YES I HAVE NAV INSTALLED SO STOP PROMOTING YOUR PRODUCTS AND GET THE DAMN CUSTOMER SERVICE OFFICER TO PICK UP MY CALL!!!! ARGHHHHHHHHHH!!!! At least play some classical music to calm down frustrated customers who are tearing their hair out, and not give us all this recorded crap!!! URGH!!! I swear, we should send in bouquets and flower baskets to the call centers back home and kowtow to them for their efficiency man. Customer service here is ABSOLUTELY...ABSOLUTELY...URGH. NO COMMENTS. (and no, after waiting 25 minutes, they still didnt get to me).
And so Erline couldnt google her essay research, which is due today; and i couldnt download my show (and it so happens to be the exciting episode where she finds out her bf is cheating on her la! wa lao). Ok, i know mine isnt as serious and important as Erline's cos she actually had to call Fiq to pick her up and stay overnight at his place just to borrow his Internet for her essay. So ya, i had to resort to rewatching my old shows i downloaded, play solitaire and for once, actually exploring my harddisk content - all for the sake of killing time and getting the frustration out of my mind. How pathetic.
Man, what am i going to do over this holiday weekend (i.e. fri-tues!)??? Those lazy buggers wont get back to work till Tues which means that thats the soonest they can check my connection, not to mention even fixing it. Why does such a problem have to occur during the public holiday season?! The same thing happened 1 year ago and i that was already the last straw for me. I guess im wrong. Is this the inet adsl outage anniversary or what?! #%^#&U#^%%$^(*%^&$#^%^#%@#^$&*^$
O, my adsl is still not working. For the first time this sem, im actually using the lab computer in uni.

Pffft...today's test shoot was terrorising! Everyone was so professional and all, and there i was attempting not to throw my own face by screwing up. Which i did, somehow or another. First, clapped the slate at the wrong time; second, didnt know what the shots were and almost became dumbfounded when questioned by Ron; third, forgot to time some of the shots; fourth, started timing all the other shots at the wrong time; and finally, screwed up some bits of the continuity (especially the 180 deg line!)!!! arghhhh!!! im going to be so held responsible if sebastian cant cut properly...=X the worst thing that can happen is implicating the rest of my group, which im praying hard, doesnt have any potential chance of happening. better get my head around continuity fast man, particularly before our actual pilot shoot.
Anyway, jill passed me the location pics which emma and the rest took when they went down the caravan park two weeks ago. pretty cool site actually. and very ironic too.
A caravan park and an industrial site sitting side by side. Deliberate juxtaposition?

O my sis is going to Taiwan (again) with her friends tomorrow this afternoon. cant believe this is her second time travelling abroad with her friends! and this is not even including the times that she travelled overseas alone (to Perth exactly 1 year ago) or with classmates on an overseas trip (to M'sia/Perth few years back). damn, why is it that i never had this opportunity (no, flying via Perth and S'pore does not count)??!! i really dont care man - Shan/Kris, our Hongkong trip next year is SO going to happen ok!!! even if it means we have to stay at YMCA or something, we are still going! yes, and please practise your cantonese! i will supply you guys ALL the "ilectures" (i.e. TVB drama)! hahaha. i am SO going to meet my Lam Fung, and im sure kris is too! ;p meanwhile, i'll try to network with some Hongki friends and who knows, we might be able to get a free tour guide.
Shan, remember this:
"mai3 dong1 xi1, chi1 dong1 xi1, mai3 dong1 xi1, chi1 dong1 xi1, mai3 dong1 xi1, chi1 dong1 xi1..."
Anyway, i hope my sis gets the tai yang bing (temporary substitute for my lou por paeng), t-shirts and jacket that i wanted! (Man...i shouldnt be thinking about all these now...my essay's due on Thursday...!)

Im slacking around on the net too much. Have to get started on my mci essay thats due next week but im constantly procrastinating! fine...ok its only a 1000 bloody words so it doesnt sound that nerve-wrecking, but grrrr...did i mention i absolutely detest mci? not that theres a lot of work for this particular unit (only 1 presentation, 2 essays for the whole sem). its just that its not the least bit interesting (how dry is media law, policy and regulation?!) and theres heaps of readings and research to do. bah.
I have the urge do my ftv work instead. Although being editor means i have to double as continuity supervisor, at least breaking down the script for next week's mock shoot gives me abit more of an adrenalin rush compared to discussing media policies. tsk.
O and i met Dawn (the one in jac seow/natalie's clique) outside the library on monday. Kinda surprised to see her at Curtin. All the S'poreans i know (and practically almost every other one i dont know as well) are all flooding U-dup. Anyway, we didnt really talk much cos i was in a rush to meet Supa, but its nice seeing someone familiar once in a while though. O and yes, that reminds me - Regina (the one 2 years our senior in PL, the Dodsworth house captain if im not wrong) is actually Shan's dorm neighbour. I think i gave her a huge scare a few weeks back since she didnt know me at all when i actually went up and asked her if it was really her (geez, didnt even know what came over me). Damn malu.
Mmm...my craving for egg tarts are coming back. Was watching the new tvb series Bar Benders yesterday night and the characters were having those yummy dan-tats. Made me drool man. Gotta make an appointment with Shan and Kris to go yum cha soon!
