B for Bball!
Woah, its been an exhausting week. Our last match finally ended today and we're all so relieved! Fortunately the girls' matches were held this week...i wouldnt hope for it to drag any longer, especially after track and field meet. The guys were supposed to play their first match against JJ today but o well, it's been postponed to Saturday. Wonder if i should go down to support them...or rather, him? We'll see how it goes la. If the rest are going down, i'd probably tag along.
Anyway, even though we didnt manage to win a single match, we're all still pretty unaffected probably cos we had expected it. Perhaps with the exception of today, where anger levels rose to the max. The SFMS team were such an arrogant lot. Not to mention that they were extremely violent and rough too. Almost everyone of us got badly hit, knocked and pushed by them, and poor Xm even got her knee injured after that blardy no. 8 deliberately collided into her! GRR. Hopefully they'll get trashed by SA. O and i must really congratulate the latter for defeating HCJC! Marvellous performance! Too bad we werent present to catch the action. Sigh.
Hmm i must admit that despite all the tough competition and weariness, our team has evidently grown closer. Ok, maybe from my perspective. I didnt really know Jasmine, Esther etc. and the juniors well initially, but after 4 days of travelling together from one end of S'pore to the other, most of the awkwardness has dissolved and everybody's crappier side starts to take over. Although there was some apparent friction and antagonism between Jasmine and Yanling yesterday, they've resolved it peacefully and made up. It's such a hearwarming experience to cheer for and encourage each other, and it all makes us feel so at home. All this has been a very fulfilling and memorable episode. It suddenly feels emptier and quieter now that there'll be fewer or even no trainings (although im grateful that i dont have to run 1.6km for warmups anymore) for the rest of the year. I wonder when we could all relive such times again. Well, i must say now that i dont regret joining the bball team cos all of them have certainly brightened up my J2 life! I know it sounds cheesy, but its true! 3 cheers for the bball team!
P.S.: Yeah its T&F meet tomorrow! Hopefully Arts Fac will still continue to maintain the top position and lead us all to Victory! Topple the Sciences!!! CONFORMITY IS DEAD.
