Wanted to post this almost a month ago but it just kept slipping my mind.
It was my last day of work (16/2/07) and i was on the $Meg shoot! Yes, after waiting 3 long and dreadful months, i finally got a chance to be on my first and last drama shoot (thanks to my juniors Rachel and Michelle who had coincidentally and unfortunately sacrificed their health for this to happen).
Anyway, the shoot that day was nothing like KED whatsoever. Everything was so unbelievably smooth-sailing even despite the wet weather. We actually wrapped early (!), and the best of all? The KIDS who were gift from Heaven!
Omg, Justin and Rachell were like godsend compared to the incorrigible Shijie and Sheriann please. Justin had his 5 scenes of lines all safely stored in his head already, he didnt even have to go through his script again at all la! As for Rachell, she arrived, changed, did her scene, and 30 mins later, she was gone! I swear, these kids are so darn professional AND more importantly - obedient (!!!), that it made my last day of work such an absolute pleasure. Its no wonder that Rachel and Michelle are still enjoying themselves on shoot every time despite all the shit they undergo preparing for it.
I seriously think the genre classifications for $Meg and KED should be swapped. Before, i wouldnt have thought that kid talents would be capable of redefining the terms "drama" and "infotainment". Now, i have to say they certainly are.
