I dont know what the hell i've gotten myself into. Being editor for a film seemed pretty cool, or at least something that i could competently handle. After today however, the scepticism is quickly settling in already.

No, pitching yourself as editor doesnt just mean that you only edit your group's 10 minute short film. What the hell, we've got to demonstrate our competency by creatively editing a drama story out of the film footage they throw us; plus also compiling a video for Curtin Razor TV/Open House or worse, of various editing styles from 35 films and tv dramas. This is not to include editing the pilot for our group's film as well.

Great, how am i supposed to complete everything by Week 14? The fact that i have to start learning Avid from scratch and that there are only 3 suites for 7 editors only exercerbates the problem. HELP.

I guess i can only take comfort in what an amazing group im in. I can honestly say that this is by far the very first time that i actually love who im working with. And no, it's not an asian crew. Rather, they are extremely nice, sweet, funny, bubbly, genuine, competent people (Aussies) who have no airs whatsoever. And for once, i feel like im treated as an equal and part of the team. Thank you Lord for Yanchep over the weekend.

This is how vital booze and networking is.
