Merry Xmas everyone...it aint too late yet right? Anyway, Xmas this time round wasnt as joyous as i hoped it would be. Presents were...eh...not what i really expected (e.g. an S size pink ladies HangTen tee and its equivalent...) and it seems that this blessed season still cant lift my spirits up much. There sure are lots of reasons why people still love Xmas, but one stinking thought of going back to school one week later simply puts me off. Bleah. Spoils the entire mood already, doesnt it?
Meanwhile, i had a rather enlightening session this afternoon. Was visiting my dad's friend and he truly inspired me all the more to go to Sydney (UNSW). His youngest daughter who recently graduated was surprisingly also from UNSW, and his elder daughter is also about to pursue her Masters there come February. They related their personal experiences studying abroad and now im very determined to go ahead with my plans. However, the bad news is that students like us now have to wait till we get back our A level results before we can apply. Unlike that uncle's youngest daughter who was fortunate enough to be the last batch of local students who could apply using their prelim results; we unlucky people can now only officially start the next year after we get back our A level results (because the term over there begins in Jan/Feb)...So i guess i'd find a temporary job during the 1 year break so as to earn a substantial amount before going over - that is if i can really make it through 2003.
Of course, there were other aspects which they related during the 2-hour long conversation, so jm, maybe one day we could sit down and seriously discuss whatever information we have eh?
