World Cup, Food and.....Christina Rossetti

Today was such an exciting day! A total combination of tears, smiles and frowns.

The Korea vs Spain match today was so intriguing that even the not-into-soccer Mynah was absolutely engrossed in the game. Its amazing what 1 soccer match can do to change a person's interest! Of course, she was betting on Spain, claiming that too many people were supporting Korea and the Spanish weren't playing on home ground too. It was so surprising how affected she was when Korea eventually defeated Spain thanks to the 5 beautiful penalty kicks that sent the latter smacked in the face. We uncontrollably erupted in joy watching Korea's triumph at White Sand's Courts. Tears of joy couldn't help but roll down at that historic moment.

Well, as usual, with Vicki the mynah around, there had to be the presence of food. That is going to be the other major distraction (besides the match) which would probably lead to our failing grades in the common test. Haha. Greed aside, we were indeed starving after forcing ourselves to digest all 10 of Rossetti's poems. Ahh...we have finally understood what true satisfaction was.

It's not that we're letting pride get to our heads, but really, we can tell you exactly what the 4 main themes of Rossetti's poems are - Life, Death, Love and Religion. She was truly one hell-of-a sadist back then. All that revolved around her life were only the 4 themes mentioned. I bet even if they had counsellors in the 19th century, they would immediately engage in another trade after simply seeing her ultimate pessimistic nature. If you think I'm bad enough, you haven't seen the worse yet. Trust me, it's a faster route to become professional psychologists just by analysing 10 of her poems. Boy, she should just Get-A-Life!!!

P.S.: oh darn! Senegal lost to those no-better-than-chickens buggers!
