Good morning/afternoon, ERS hotline, Christina speaking. How can i help?

Its my 2nd official day at work and im getting pretty used to it already. It seems just like going to school. Except for the fact that i get paid and there's air-con to enjoy. Im still having a hard time worrying about what to wear the night before, walking about in heels everyday, and not to mention the fact that each of us has to keep talking and repeating the same old stuff non-stop for 8 hours to approximately 80-100 callers a day (yes, my friend counted the total number of calls she got for EACH day). Worse still, i have to converse in Chinese some times, which probably turns the callers off more than it does for me. Bleah.

O well, at least i haved really friendly, helpful and funny (but all damn smart eg. from TJ, VJ, NJ etc.) friends/colleagues. (Hmm Addie, do you happen to know Joanne and Weijun from TKG? They're really nice people!) And im pretty relieved and glad that some of them do speak english-English i.e. the "chiak kantang" ones. Ok, i have to admit that my situation isnt as bad as Jan's, but seriously, struggling to explain technical/economic terms to Chinese-speaking (sometimes even Hokkien?!) callers doesnt make my life any easier either. Sigh, until now, i still dont know what "appeal" and "withdrawal" are called in Chinese. And these are only the basics that i havent mastered! Help!

Anyway, i havent seriously studied for my SATs yet, and its on, what(?!), the 3rd day of CNY?! I am so dead. But honestly, come to think of it, if i really decide to try for Murdoch, i dont need my SATs at all, so why bother retaking?! But damn i've signed up already. Sighhhhh.
