What we repeat at least 50 times a day - EVERY DAY.

Caller: "Hello, i would like to enquire ah, how come i still havent received my cash yet."

Me: "Ok sir/mdm, can i have your ic no. please? I'll help you check..."

- After 2-3 mins...-

Me: "Im so sorry sir/mdm, you have already been allotted your shares but they have not been encashed yet."

Caller: "But i sent in my form last year during Nov/Dec already. How come it's still not credited into my bank account or i still dont receive a cheque?"

Me: "Im very apologetic sir/mdm, but the form that you filled up and sent us last year was the VC7 (voluntary contribution) form to top up your CPF. If you wish to exchange your shares for cash, you have to request to encash. To do this you must fill up another form, a BLUE color encashment form called ERS/2 which is available from any S'pore post office or CPF branch and send it to us again; or if you have a personal bank account, you can do the transaction online at our ERS website or through the ATM if you have an ATM card."

Caller: "O, ok...like that ah...how long does it take ah?"

Me: "Ok sir/mdm, for internet or ATM transaction, once you submit your application, we will take 4 working days to process it and transfer the cash to your bank account. If you submit a form, from the day we receive it, we will take 10 working days if you want it transferred to your bank account, and 15 days if you want a cheque sent to you."

Caller: "Ohhhhhh.....aiyoh so long ah...aiyah ok la, thank you ah..."

Me: "No problem sir/mdm, thank you for calling. Goodbye."
